Graduate Athletes 2020

Thank you Graduating Athletes of 2020!

In a small school, you know that you have your up's and downs.  Some years are winners and some you may not have enough athletes for a team.  This year we had a special obstacle thrown our way, COVID 19 and the cancellation of spring sports.  But through all of these highs and lows you were the athletes that helped to build CCHS athletic programs during your high school years.  We, CCHS Athletics, wanted to say thank you!!

- For softball it would be the game against Willow Creek where I may or may not have used a little smack talk ;)
What is your parting advice to younger athletes?   Don't get too busy going from game to game, just slow down and take a little time to appreciate everything. Because sooner then you'll ever think it'll be gone and those games and practices will just be great memories.

What is your favorite professional sports team or athlete?  I don’t have one actually
What is your favorite memory of a practice/game? My favorite high school memory actually didn't come from our school, my favorite memories came from driving all over southern Alberta watching a variety of schools and communities coming together to support each other. The best out of all of them was watching the Willow Creek Cobras win provincials in my final year after working as hard as they did to get to win that final game. That and also coaching the junior high girls, they taught me what being on a team really means and I will forever be grateful for them and the impact they had in my life during my final season.
What is your parting advice to younger athletes?   There will be times when all you want to do is give up, but you can’t give up on something as important as these sports. Its more then just a game, and it will teach you more then a regular game ever could. Take in every moment of it, you won’t regret it.
